네비암송 (65) 겸손한 모습으로, “교회의 리더”에게 순종하세요 (베드로전서 5장 5-6절 / E-2 겸손)

 

베드로전서 5:5 젊은 자들아 이와 같이 장로들에게 순종하고 다 서로 겸손으로 허리를 동이라 하나님은 교만한 자를 대적하시되 겸손한 자들에게는 은혜를 주시느니라 5:5 In the same way, you who are younger, submit yourselves to your elders. 5:5 elders. The elders are the pastors, the spiritual leaders of the church (cf. v. 1; notes on 1Ti 3:1–7; Tit 1:5–9). The church members, especially the young people, are to give honor, deference, and respect to spiritual leadership. Submission is a fundamental attitude of spiritual maturity (cf. 1Co 16:15; 1Th 5:12–14; Tit 3:1, 2; Heb 13:7, 17). Lack of submission to the elders not only makes the ministry difficult, but also forfeits God’s grace, as noted in the quote from Pr 3:34 (see note on Jas 4:6). clothe yourselves with humility. To “clothe yourselves” lit. means to tie something on oneself with a knot or a bow. This term was often used of a slave putting on an apron over his clothes in order to keep his clothes clean. “Humility” is lit. “lowly mindedness,” an attitude that one is not too good to serve. 5:6 under the mighty hand of God. This is an OT symbol of the power of God working in the experience of men, always accomplishing His sovereign purpose (cf. Ex 3:19, 20; Job 30:20, 21; Eze 20:33, 37; Mic 6:8). The readers of Peter’s letter were not to fight the sovereign hand of God, even when it brought them through testings. One of the evidences of lack of submission and humility is impatience with God in His work of humbling believers (see notes on 2Co 12:7–10). exalt you at the proper time. Cf. Lk 14:11. 빌립보서 2:3 아무 일에든지 다툼이나 허영으로 하지 말고 오직 겸손한 마음으로 각각 자기보다 남을 낫게 여기고 2:3 Instead of being motivated by selfish ambition or vanity, each of you should, in humility, be moved to treat one another as more important than yourself. 2:4 각각 자기 일을 돌아볼 뿐더러 또한 각각 다른 사람들의 일을 돌아보아 나의 기쁨을 충만케 하라 (개역개정) 2:4 Each of you should be concerned not only about your own interests, but about the interests of others as well. 2:3 SELFISH AMBITION. This is the second time Paul has used this word (1:17). It means “working to advance oneself without thought for others.” CONCEIT. This is the only occurrence of this word in the NT. Translated literally, it means “vain glory” (kendoxia), which is asserting oneself over God who alone is worthy of true glory (doxa). HUMILITY. This was not a virtue that was valued by the Greek in the first century. 2:3–4 Paul realizes that everyone naturally looks out for his or her own interests. The key is to take that same level of concern and apply it also to the interests of others. 3:18 To love in word is to speak loving words but to stop short of doing anything to prove that love. The opposite of loving in word is loving in deed and in truth. 말로 혀로만 사랑한다는 것은, 사랑의 말을 하지만 그 사랑을 증명하기 위해 어떤 일도 하지 않는 것을 의미합니다. 말로 사랑하는 것의 반대는, 행함과 진실함으로 사랑하는 것입니다.

His authority assures the disciples’ personal security but also forms the foundation for the commission to follow. As the one given all authority, Jesus gives his disciples the “Great Commission,” the mandate to make disciples of all nations. Disciples of Jesus are to call other individuals into a commitment to Jesus as their sole Master and Lord. Jesus’ ministry in Israel was the beginning of what would be a universal invitation into the kingdom for all the peoples of the earth, including the Jews. 예수님의 권위는 제자들의 개인적인 안전을 보장할 뿐 아니라, 그들이 따라야할 사명의 기초를 형성합니다. 모든 권세를 받으신 예수님은, 모든 족속으로 제자를 삼으라는 명령인 “대위임령”을 제자들에게 주셨습니다. 예수님의 제자들은 다른 사람들을 그들의 유일한 스승이자 주님으로 예수님께 헌신하도록 불러야 합니다. 이스라엘에서의 예수님의 사역은, 유대인들을 포함하여 이 땅의 모든 민족을 하나님의 왕국으로 초대하는 보편적인 초대의 시작이었습니다.

Individuals who become disciples are to be baptized in the name of the three persons of the Trinitarian Godhead. Baptism is a new disciple’s public identification with God’s covenant family of faith. Teaching and obeying is the process by which disciples of Jesus are continually transformed, and the process of discipleship applies to everyone who responds to the gospel message. Everything that Jesus communicated in his words and conduct is to be taught and obeyed. 사도행전 1:8 오직 성령이 너희에게 임하시면 너희가 권능을 받고 예루살렘과 온 유대와 사마리아와 땅 끝까지 이르러 내 증인이 되리라 하시니라 (개역개정) 1:8 But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth. (NIV)

 

1:8 Instead of being concerned about the date of Christ’s return, the disciples’ job was to carry His message throughout the world. you shall receive power: This does not refer to personal power for godly living, as demonstrated in the lives of Old Testament saints (see Abraham in Gen. 22; Joseph in Gen. 39; Moses in Ex. 14; Daniel in Dan. 6). This was power for a new task—namely, to take the gospel to the ends of the earth. 제자들은 그리스도의 재림의 날짜에 관심을 두지 않고, 온 세상에 그분의 말씀을 전하는 일을 해야만 했습니다. 너희가 권능을 받고 : 이것은 구약의 성도들의 삶에서 나타난 경건한 삶을 위한 개인적인 권능을 말하는 것이 아닙니다. 이것은 새로운 임무를 위한 권능인데, 즉 땅 끝까지 복음을 전하는 능력입니다.

Be witnesses is Christ’s command to His disciples to tell others about Him regardless of the consequences. Church tradition tells us that all but one of the eleven apostles who heard this promise became martyrs (John died in exile). God empowered His disciples to be faithful witnesses even when they faced the most vehement opposition. That same power for witnessing is available to us today. 9:7 as he has purposed. The term translated “purposed” occurs only here in the NT and indicates a premeditated, predetermined plan of action that is done from the heart voluntarily, but not impulsively. This is an age-old biblical principle of giving (see note on 8:3; cf. Ex 25:2). 그 마음에 정한 대로 할 것이요 : 이 단어는 신약에 한번만 나타나는데, 충동적으로가 아니라 자발적으로 마음으로부터 이루어진 미리 계획된 행동의 계획을 의미합니다. 이것은 베푸는 것에 대한 오래된 성경적 원칙입니다.

grudgingly. Lit. “with grief,” “sorrow,” or “sadness,” which indicates an attitude of depression, regret, and reluctance that accompanies something done strictly out of a sense of duty and obligation, but not joy. under compulsion. This refers to external pressure and coercion, quite possibly accompanied by legalism. Believers are not to give based on the demands of others, or according to any arbitrary standards or set amounts. God loves a cheerful giver. God has a unique, special love for those who are happily committed to generous giving. The Gr. word for “cheerful” is the word from which we get “hilarious,” which suggests that God loves a heart that is enthusiastically thrilled with the pleasure of giving. 인색함으로나 : 문자적으로는 “슬픔” 혹은 “비애”라는 의미인데, 기쁨이 아니라 의무감에 의해서 억지로 어떤 일을 행할 때에 동반되는 우울, 후회, 혹은 꺼리는 태도를 나타냅니다. 억지로 : 이것은 아마도 율법주의에 의해서 일어나는 외부 압력과 강압을 의미합니다. 신자는 남의 요구에 따라, 임의의 기준이나 정해진 양에 따라 드리지 않습니다. 즐겨 내는 자를 사랑하시느니라 : 하나님께서는 너그럽게 드리는 것에 기쁘게 전념하는 사람들에게 독특하고 특별한 사랑을 가지고 계십니다. 헬라어로 “즐겨내는” 이라는 단어는 “유쾌한” 이라는 뜻을 가지고 있는데, 이는 하나님께서는 나누는 기쁨으로 인하여 열정적이며 전율하는 그 마음을 사랑하신다는 것을 암시합니다.

네비암송 (58) “당신의 재물”로, 여호와를 공경해야 합니다 (잠언 3장 9-10절 / D-5 후히 드릴 것)

 

잠언 3:9 네 재물과 네 소산물의 처음 익은 열매로 여호와를 공경하라 3:9 Honor the LORD from your wealth and from the firstfruits of all your crops; 3:10 그리하면 네 창고가 가득히 차고 네 포도즙 틀에 새 포도즙이 넘치리라 (개역개정) 3:10 then your barns will be filled completely, and your vats will overflow with new wine. (NET)

 

3:9, 10 Honor the Lord … wealth. A biblical view of wealth demands using possessions for honoring God. This is accomplished by trusting God (v. 5); by giving the best to God (“first”; cf. Ex 22:29; 23:19; Dt 18:4); by being fair (vv. 27, 28); by giving generously (11:25); and by expressing gratitude for all He gives (Dt 6:10–12). The result of such faithfulness to honor Him is prosperity and satisfaction. 부에 대한 성경적인 관점은, 하나님을 공경하기 위해 소유물을 사용하는 것을 요구합니다. 이것을 하나님을 신뢰함으로써, 가장 좋은 것을 하나님께 드림으로써, 다른 이를 공정하게 대함으로써, 다른 이에게 관대하게 베풂으로써, 그리고 하나님이 주신 모든 것에 대해 감사를 표현함으로써 성취되는 것입니다. 그분을 공경하는 그러한 신실함의 결과는 번영과 만족입니다.
