네비암송 (58) “당신의 재물”로, 여호와를 공경해야 합니다 (잠언 3장 9-10절 / D-5 후히 드릴 것)

 

잠언 3:9 네 재물과 네 소산물의 처음 익은 열매로 여호와를 공경하라 3:9 Honor the LORD from your wealth and from the firstfruits of all your crops; 3:10 그리하면 네 창고가 가득히 차고 네 포도즙 틀에 새 포도즙이 넘치리라 (개역개정) 3:10 then your barns will be filled completely, and your vats will overflow with new wine. (NET)

 

3:9, 10 Honor the Lord … wealth. A biblical view of wealth demands using possessions for honoring God. This is accomplished by trusting God (v. 5); by giving the best to God (“first”; cf. Ex 22:29; 23:19; Dt 18:4); by being fair (vv. 27, 28); by giving generously (11:25); and by expressing gratitude for all He gives (Dt 6:10–12). The result of such faithfulness to honor Him is prosperity and satisfaction. 부에 대한 성경적인 관점은, 하나님을 공경하기 위해 소유물을 사용하는 것을 요구합니다. 이것을 하나님을 신뢰함으로써, 가장 좋은 것을 하나님께 드림으로써, 다른 이를 공정하게 대함으로써, 다른 이에게 관대하게 베풂으로써, 그리고 하나님이 주신 모든 것에 대해 감사를 표현함으로써 성취되는 것입니다. 그분을 공경하는 그러한 신실함의 결과는 번영과 만족입니다.

네비암송 (43) "반드시" 약속을 지키시는 하나님, 그래서 그분을 믿고 따라가야 합니다 (민수기 23장 19절 / C-3 성실)

 

민수기 23:19 하나님은 사람이 아니시니 거짓말을 하지 않으시고 인생이 아니시니 후회가 없으시도다 어찌 그 말씀하신 바를 행하지 않으시며 하신 말씀을 실행하지 않으시랴 (개역개정) 23:19 God is not human, that he should lie, not a human being, that he should change his mind. Does he speak and then not act? Does he promise and not fulfill? (NIV)

23:19–20 Unlike the gods of Mesopotamia, who were depicted often as whimsical and easily manipulated through sorcery and divination, Balaam could not change what the God of Israel had instructed him to proclaim—blessing for Israel, God’s chosen people. 메소포타미아의 신들이, 마술과 점술로 쉽게 조종되고 변덕스러운 것으로 종종 묘사되었던 것과는 달리, 발람은 이스라엘의 하나님께서 그에게 선포하라고 지시하신 것, 즉 하나님의 택하신 백성 이스라엘을 위한 축복을 변경할 수 없었습니다.

23:19 lie … change his mind. Contrary to what Balak thinks, the Lord is not like pagan gods, who are comparable to capricious and fickle human beings and who could therefore be asked to break their promises. Does he speak and then not act? The Lord does what he says, which in this case is to bless Israel (v. 20). He is always faithful to his covenant promises (cf.
