네비암송 (60) “성령님의 능력”을 입고, “예수님의 증인”이 되세요 (사도행전 1장 8절 / D-6 세계비전)

 

사도행전 1:8 오직 성령이 너희에게 임하시면 너희가 권능을 받고 예루살렘과 온 유대와 사마리아와 땅 끝까지 이르러 내 증인이 되리라 하시니라 (개역개정) 1:8 But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth. (NIV)

 

1:8 Instead of being concerned about the date of Christ’s return, the disciples’ job was to carry His message throughout the world. you shall receive power: This does not refer to personal power for godly living, as demonstrated in the lives of Old Testament saints (see Abraham in Gen. 22; Joseph in Gen. 39; Moses in Ex. 14; Daniel in Dan. 6). This was power for a new task—namely, to take the gospel to the ends of the earth. 제자들은 그리스도의 재림의 날짜에 관심을 두지 않고, 온 세상에 그분의 말씀을 전하는 일을 해야만 했습니다. 너희가 권능을 받고 : 이것은 구약의 성도들의 삶에서 나타난 경건한 삶을 위한 개인적인 권능을 말하는 것이 아닙니다. 이것은 새로운 임무를 위한 권능인데, 즉 땅 끝까지 복음을 전하는 능력입니다.

Be witnesses is Christ’s command to His disciples to tell others about Him regardless of the consequences. Church tradition tells us that all but one of the eleven apostles who heard this promise became martyrs (John died in exile). God empowered His disciples to be faithful witnesses even when they faced the most vehement opposition. That same power for witnessing is available to us today. Our task is not to convince people, but to testify of the truth of the gospel. 증인이 되라는 것은, 결과에 상관 없이 다른 사람들에게 자신에 대하여 말하라고 제자들에게 말씀하신 그리스도의 명령입니다. 교회의 전통에 따르면 이 약속을 들은 열한 사도 중 한 명을 제외한 모든 사람이 순교하였습니다 (요한은 유배지에서 사망하였습니다) 하나님께서는 제자들이 가장 격렬한 반대에 직면했을 때에도 신실한 증인이 되도록 능력을 주셨습니다. 오늘날 우리에게도 동일한 증인이 되기 위한 능력이 있습니다. 우리의 임무는 사람을 설득하는 것이 아니라, 복음의 진리를 증거하는 것입니다.

네비암송 (41) 하나님께서 함께 하시기 때문에, "모든 상황"을 견딜 수 있습니다 (빌립보서 4장 13절 / C-2 능력)

 

빌립보서 4:13 내게 능력 주시는 자 안에서 내가 모든 것을 할 수 있느니라 (개역개정) 4:13 I can do all this through him who gives me strength. (NIV)

 

4:13 ALL THINGS. Paul is referring to what he has just described: his ability to exist in all types of material circumstances—wealth or poverty, abundant food or no food, etc. THROUGH HIM WHO STRENGTHENS ME. The source of Paul’s ability to exist successfully in all circumstances is his union with Christ. This is his secret. “모든 것”이라는 표현을 통해서 바울은, 그가 방금 설명한 것에 대해 언급하고 있습니다. 부나 가난, 풍족한 음식이나 혹은 음식이 없는 경우 등 모든 종류의 물질적 상황에서 존재할 수 있는 그의 능력을 의미합니다. 모든 상황에서 성공적으로 존재할 수 있는 바울의 능력의 근원은 그리스도와 그의 연합입니다. 이것이 그의 비밀입니다.

4:13 All things refers to the economic fluctuations of life (v. 12). Through him who strengthens me teaches that Christ empowers believers to live in God’s will. Paradoxically, Paul was strong when he was weak; independent only when dependent. Such is the life of a disciple. “모든 것”이라는 표현은, 삶의 경제적인 변동을 가리키는 것입니다. “내게 능력 주시는 자 안에서” 라는 표현은, 그리스도께서 성도들이 하나님의 뜻 안에서 살도록 능력을 주신다고 가르칩니다. 역설적으로, 바울은 그가 연약할 때에 강했습니다. 오직 그가 하나님께 의존적일 때에, 오히려 독립적이었던 것입니다. 이것이 바로 제자의 삶 입니다.

네비암송 (25) 복음은 "하나님의 능력"이기에, 담대하게 전합니다 (로마서 1장 16절 / A-6 증거)

 

로마서 1:16 내가 복음을 부끄러워하지 아니하노니 이 복음은 모든 믿는 자에게 구원을 주시는 하나님의 능력이 됨이라 먼저는 유대인에게요 그리고 헬라인에게로다 (개역개정) 1:16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes: first to the Jew, then to the Gentile. (NIV)

 

1:16 I am not ashamed. He had been imprisoned in Philippi (Ac 16:23, 24), chased out of Thessalonica (Ac 17:10), smuggled out of Berea (Ac 17:14), laughed at in Athens (Ac 17:32), regarded as a fool in Corinth (1Co 1:18, 23), and stoned in Galatia (Ac 14:19), but Paul remained eager to preach the gospel in Rome—the seat of contemporary political power and pagan religion. Neither ridicule, criticism, nor physical persecution could curb his boldness. 복음을 부끄러워하지 아니하노니 : 그는 빌립보에서 투옥되었고, 데살로니가에서 쫓겨났으며, 베뢰아에서 피신해야 했고, 아테네에서 비웃음을 받았으며, 고린도에서 미련한 자로 여김을 받았고, 갈라디아에서는 돌에 맞아 거의 죽임을 당하였습니다. 그러나 바울은 여전히, 당대의 정치 권력과 이방 종교의 본거지인 로마에서 복음을 전하기를 갈망했습니다. 조롱도, 비판도, 물리적인 박해도 그의 담대함을 꺾을 수 없었습니다.

power. The Eng. word “dynamite” comes from this Gr. word. Although the message may sound foolish to some (1Co 1:18), the gospel is effective because it carries with it the omnipotence of God (cf. Ex 15:6; Dt 32:39; Job 9:4; Pss 33:8, 9; 89:13; 106:8, 9; Is 26:4; 43:13; Jer 10:12; 27:5; Mt 28:18; Ro 9:21). Only God’s power is able to overcome man’s sinful nature and give him new life (5:6; 8:3; Jn 1:12; 1Co 1:18, 23–25; 2:1–4; 4:20; 1Pe 1:23). 하나님의 능력 : 영어 “다이너마이트”라는 단어는 이 헬라어에서 유래한 것입니다. 비록 복음의 메시지가 어떤 사람들에게는 어리석게 들릴지 모르지만, 복음은 하나님의 전능하심을 전달하는 것이기 때문에 효과적입니다. 오직 하나님의 능력만이, 사람의 죄악 된 성품을 이기고 새로운 생명을 줄 수 있습니다.

salvation. Used 5 times in Romans (the verb form occurs 8 times), this key word basically means “deliverance” or “rescue.” The power of the gospel delivers people from lostness (Mt 18:11), from the wrath of God (Ro 5:9), from willful spiritual ignorance (Hos 4:6; 2Th 1:8), from evil self-indulgence (Lk 14:26), and from the darkness of false religion (Col 1:13; 1Pe 2:9). It rescues them from the ultimate penalty of their sin, i.e., eternal separation from God and eternal punishment (see note on Rev 20:6). 구원을 주시는 : 로마서에서 다섯번 사용된 이 키워드는, 기본적으로 “구원” 또는 “구출”을 의미합니다. 복음의 능력은, 상실, 하나님의 진노, 고의적인 영적인 무지, 악한 방종, 거짓 종교의 어두움에서 사람들을 구원해 냅니다. 복음은 그들의 죄의 궁극적인 형벌 즉, 하나님으로부터의 영원한 분리와 영원한 형벌로부터 그들을 구출합니다.
