15:1–4 We who are strong have an obligation to bear with the failings of the weak. Paul considers himself one of the “strong.” He sees the misinformed conscience of the “weak” as real weakness, yet he emphasizes the responsibility of the “strong” to be patient with the “weak.” He does not encourage feelings of pride, or flaunting one’s freedom in matters offensive to the weak. 우리는 믿음이 약한 자의 약점을 담당하고 : 바울은 자신 스스로를 “강한 자”에 포함시킵니다. 바울은 “약한 자”가 잘못 이해하여 생긴 양심의 문제를 실제적인 연약함으로 봅니다. 그러나 바울은 강한 자들이 약한 자들에 대하여 인내해야 하는 책임을 강조합니다. 그는 자만심을 품지 않도록, 혹은 연약한 자에게 거리낌이 될 수 있는 문제에 대하여 자유를 과시하지 않도록 권면하고 있습니다.

15:1 to bear. The word means “to pick up and carry a weight.” It is used of carrying a pitcher of water (Mk 14:13), of carrying a man (Ac 21:35), and figuratively of bearing an obligation (Ac 15:10). The strong are not to simply tolerate the weaknesses of their weaker brothers; they are to help the weak shoulder their burdens by showing loving and practical consideration for them. 담당하고 : 이 단어는 “짐을 들어 옮기다”라는 뜻입니다. 이 단어는 물동이를 나르다, 사람을 나르는데, 비유적으로는 의무를 짊어지는 데 사용됩니다. 강한 사람은 약한 형제의 약점을 단순히 용납하는 것이 아닙니다. 사랑스럽고 실제적인 배려를 통해 약자의 짐을 덜어주는 것입니다.
