endured such opposition against himself by sinners, so that you may not grow
weary in your souls and give up. (NET)
12:3 When these believers were tempted
to focus on their trials, even to the point of considering renouncing their
faith, Hebrews encouraged them to think
about all he endured when sinful people did such terrible things to him.
Christ was ridiculed, whipped, beaten, spit upon, and crucified. Even so, he
did not give in to fatigue, discouragement, or despair. 신자들이 시련에 마음이 빼앗기려는 유혹을 받을 때에, 심지어 신앙을 포기하고 싶은 유혹을 받았을 때, 죄인들이 그토록 끔찍한 일을 예수님께 저질렀을 때에 그가 견딘 모든 것들을 생각하라고 히브리서 기자는 신자들을 격려합니다. 그리스도는 조롱 당하고, 채찍질당하고, 매 맞고, 침 뱉음을 당하고, 십자가에 못 박히셨습니다. 그럼에도 불구하고 그분은 피로와 낙담 그리고 절망에 굴복하지 않으셨습니다.
By focusing on Christ and what he did on our behalf, we won’t become weary and give up. Trials can cause us to become discouraged and even to despair. Facing hardship and discouragement, we must not lose sight of the big picture. We are not alone; Jesus stands with us. Many have endured far more difficult circumstances than we have experienced. 아버지 하나님 감사합니다. 심한 고난 속에서도 예수님의 고난을 생각할 수
